Inaugural Australia–India Defence Industry Roundtable
10 October 2025
Industry Execution Partner - Delivered by Newland Global Group
Newland Global Group served as the industry execution partner for the inaugural Australia–India Defence Industry Roundtable, co-chaired by the Honourable Rajnath Singh, Minister for Defence of India, and the Hon. Peter Khalil MP, Assistant Minister for Defence of Australia held in Sydney on 10 October 2025.

Bringing together senior ministers, 20 leading defence companies from Australia, and key ecosystem partners, this landmark dialogue marked a turning point in the bilateral defence industrial relationship.
Grounded in the strategic frameworks outlined in the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, MLSA, 2+2 dialogue, and emerging interoperability agreements, the roundtable moved beyond official intent to industry-ready execution. NGG delivered a high-trust, closed-door roundtable where leading defence industry players could identify capability gaps, co-development opportunities, pathways for joint manufacturing, and mechanisms to streamline export controls and regulatory alignment.
Structured around complementary strengths, Australia’s advanced technologies and India’s manufacturing depth, the roundtable established a new architecture for bilateral defence industrial collaboration, defining priority capability areas, mechanisms for joint R&D, SME integration, and project-level engagement between Australian and Indian defence companies.
Newland Global Group’s role was pivotal in curating participants, and ensuring the roundtable produced clear next steps.
