NGG Facilitates Cooperation between TAFE NSW and Gujarat Knowledge Society (GKS) for Skill Development and Vocational Education in India

NGG successfully advised and facilitated the cooperation between TAFE NSW and the Gujarat Knowledge Society (GKS), Government of Gujarat, to enhance skill development and vocational education in India.

TAFE NSW is Australia’s leading provider of vocational education and training, delivering approximately two-thirds of all nationally recognised training in New South Wales. It serves a diverse range of students, industries, and communities, offering fully integrated pathways from school qualifications to applied undergraduate degrees.

The Gujarat Knowledge Society (GKS), formed by the Government of Gujarat, aims to bridge the gap between the education system and industry needs. GKS focuses on preparing youth for the knowledge-based economy by developing new competencies and skills, thus fostering the creation of a world-class workforce.

NGG played a crucial role in facilitating the MOU between TAFE NSW and GKS, establishing a framework for cooperation in skills development, vocational education, and training based on reciprocity and mutual benefit. The partnership focused on identifying and implementing programs specifically in the IT sector and peripherally in retail, hospitality, tourism, and textile industries, along with the facilitation of study tours and the development of tailored curricula.

Through this collaboration, both organisations worked together to offer major award courses in the state of Gujarat, facilitate industry partnerships, and address critical training needs across various sectors.
