Newland Global Group partnered with the Consulate General of India in Brisbane and Trade and Investment Queensland to convene a high-level roundtable focused on innovation-led bilateral collaboration. Hosted at the newly inaugurated Indian Consulate, this strategic dialogue brought together senior leaders from government and industry to inform the ongoing Australia–India CECA negotiations.
The roundtable reinforced Queensland’s position as a global innovation hub, backed by the $755 million Advance Queensland initiative - with strengths across AI, cleantech, medtech, and advanced manufacturing. It also highlighted India’s growing tech ambitions and the need for frameworks that enable deeper collaboration, cross-border R&D, and joint investment.
The release of Trade and Investment Queensland’s 2023 India Strategy, alongside the opening of the Indian Consulate, signals a renewed phase in the bilateral relationship - one marked by opportunity, alignment, and action.
